Everybody's Got One
A blog. An opinion. An elimination orifice. A dream. An agenda. A past. A hidden talent. A conceptual filter. A cross. A charism (often the same). A task. A wound. A destiny. A lost love. A blind spot. A bad habit. A secret. A passion. A soul ... okay, maybe not everybody ...

And so the year continues to turn; occasionally, passing a milepost, we bother to notice. Candlemas yesterday marked the end of the forty day season of Christmas and Epiphany-tide; just another four short weeks and we are in Lent again. This morning I sang the appointed psalms through without coughing, for a change (nothing to do with the end of Christmas, I'm sure, but a welcome relief). Today will be in the 60s; for the first time in months I wore a jacket instead of a coat. Winter's not done with us yet, not by a long shot, but it may need to face its own mortality soon; spring's on the way again.

The year is one-twelfth of the way done; so how are those resolutions working out for everybody?
