Let me see if I understand this: World opinion has to be taken into account, because a majority of most populations are against the war despite what their governments say or do. However, domestic opinion polls can be disregarded because the 70% of Americans who support the war have been brainwashed, and besides, people always rally around the flag once the shooting starts. Just because the war is popular doesn't make it right.

You have to admire anyone who can hold both these ideas comfortably within the same skull.
