Everybody's Got One

Throughout the Old Testament readings for Lent, we are reminded that Israel was an unfaithful people, but God himself remained faithful. In the gospels, we are constantly reminded of the mercy of God, and we remember all the times and ways that we Christians have not been merciful.

In what way is the Islamic emphasis on the one true God, the indivisible, on the Koran as the complete and unchangeable revelation, on Mohammed as the seal of the prophets, related to Arabic culture's apparent immersion in deceit and radical untruthfulness?
