Everybody's Got One
A blog. An opinion. An elimination orifice. A dream. An agenda. A past. A hidden talent. A conceptual filter. A cross. A charism (often the same). A task. A wound. A destiny. A lost love. A blind spot. A bad habit. A secret. A passion. A soul ... okay, maybe not everybody ...

See No Evil

On a painfully well-intentioned bumper sticker I saw today:
If you see yourself in others,
How can you cause Harm?
Don't know a lot of actual human beings, do you?

A significant amount of the harm I see in the world flows directly from projection, where the unacceptable parts of yourself that you don't want to acknowledge or deal with are seen only in others, where they can be safely criticized, rejected, and destroyed.

The willful inability to see this happening is a refusal of responsibility that enables harm while deploring it.
