Everybody's Got One
A blog. An opinion. An elimination orifice. A dream. An agenda. A past. A hidden talent. A conceptual filter. A cross. A charism (often the same). A task. A wound. A destiny. A lost love. A blind spot. A bad habit. A secret. A passion. A soul ... okay, maybe not everybody ...

Good to know

A lovely recital this Sunday afternoon, mezzo-soprano and harpist. Harp makes a very good accompaniment for solo voice; who knew? A couple of nice Mozart arias, some lieder, and this pompous gem from the program notes:
Five Greek Folk Songs reflects Ravel's chameleon-like ability to espouse the manner of a foreign idiom to mask his own feelings.
As this tawdry election oozes toward its long-belated close, it's good to be reminded that the politically obsessed aren't the only people who desperately need to take themselves less seriously.
